Thanksgiving in MTC

We traveled to Mt. Carmel for Thanksgiving. We had a great time there for three days. We had a huge family meal, played family games, and even went to Hog Heaven one night and saw Uncle Bryan perform live! Great Grandma Harris got to see Gatsby for the first time and they were instant buddies.

Little Version of Papa

Gatsby had a great trip to Pittsfield and visiting with all of his family.

To all who read this, please send Papa lots of prayers. He broke his back in three places a couple of days before Thanksgiving.

'Twas the night of halloween, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

We had big plans to go out and show off our adorable baby in our sweet costumes, but Gatsby runs the show around here. We started taking pictures around 5:45. So around 6 we put him on the couch (supervised, of course) while we packed his diaper bag and got the car seat. But then we looked over and the mouse was asleep. And were not talkin' about a "mouse" nap. He was gone for the night. We spent a lovely night at home, cuddling and watching a scary movie.

3 Blind Mice

Happy Halloween to all!!! As you can see, we were the three blind mice. We even made a video singing the song. Hope you got more treats than tricks!

Boob Man

Yes, Gatsby is a classy, young man, who wears hats that say things like "Boob Man." Technically, it is the truth. We love that hat, which, was a gift from our wonderful friends, The Kemp's: Ben, Amanda, and Baby Owen.

Amazing Grace

Gatsby was dedicated to the Lord at Franklin Christian Church on October 7th. It was a great experience as a parent to vow to raise your child to lead a Christian life and I pray that we do a good job. It was also a blessing that Gatsby's Great Grandma, best known as Grandma Jo, was in town to see his dedication. For all the males out there, I, Shaylon, realize that his outfit is "girly", but truly it is a unisex outfit with crosses on the embroidery. A very appropriate outfit for a dedication!, so no need to comment on how pretty he is. LOL. Enjoy the pics of Gatsby with his partents, Gigi, and Grandma Jo. We had a camera malfunction at the church, so no pics of the actual dedication.

Bon Appetite

Whoa! Gatsby is now 4 months old. Time is flying by and he growing like a weed, seriously. His new stats: 14.5 lbs., 26.25 in. And the big boy now gets to eat RICE CEREAL. YUM!

Saturday In The Park

Finally, the temp has dropped below 90 and we could play outside. I don't think Gatsby even really knew there was an outdoors 'til today. He loved lying on the blanket and looking at the sky in awe. This is what life is all about!

Shake, Rattle, and Roll

Gatsby has learned to hold and shake his rattles. One time he dropped it on his face and had a tough time trying to figure out how to get it off.

How Bout Them Golden Aces!

Gatsby made his first trip to Mount Carmel, IL over Labor Day. He had fun with family, went to his first football game, and played in a Grant vs Ramlow softball game. Gatsby's girlfriend (seen above in pink) is Sidney Ramlow. Bradley, Shaylon and Gatsby played on the Ramlow team and though they did not win, they played courageously, despite being plagued by injury and distracted by many off-the-field mishaps.

Clean and Pretty, uh, I mean Handsome

Gatsby loves a bath. Unfortunately, he is always in the bath with either his mom or dad, so we can't show you those pics, but here he is after.

2 Months and Growing

Gatsby is now 2 months old. He is so much more aware of his world. He look's with awe at his mobile on his swing.

He is a big boy. At his checkup, he weighed 12lbs, 11oz, and was 24 & 1/4 in. He is in the 75% for weight and 90% for height.
